Position
Consultant Physician in Respiratory Medicine.
Health Service
Situated in the South East of England. This NHS Hospital has approximately 280 beds, over a range of medical and surgical specialties. and a 24-hour Emergency Department. There are developing services in medical rehabilitation and specialist medicine for older people.
There are comprehensive diagnostic services, including biochemistry, haematology and microbiology laboratories and a modern Diagnostic Imaging department. The post holder will have access to the on-site CT and MRI scanners and nuclear medicine and PET-CT facilities at a neighbouring site.
Essential Criteria
The Candidate must have:
- MBBS or equivalent. MRCP or equivalent.
- Entry on the GMC specialist register for General Internal Medicine and Respiratory Medicine via (a) CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview), (b) CESR or (c) European Community rights”.
- Should have completed a recognised training programme in General Internal Medicine and Respiratory Medicine.
- Must be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical experience and competence in GIM and Respiratory Medicine.
- Knowledge of current trends in specialty.
- Evidence of participation in clinical audit relevant to specialty.
- Experience in Postgraduate teaching.
- Knowledge and understanding of current NHS issues.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Appropriate immigrant status
The Package
The trust are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic colleague to join their team of Consultant Physicians in the provision of general medical and respiratory services.
This is a full-time position but candidates wishing to work part-time or in a job-share are encouraged to apply. If a part-time or job-share person is appointed modification of the job plan will be discussed with the appointee on a personal basis.
The position will be following a 10PA rota pattern and will include a 1 in 11 on-call rota.
Salary offered will be in the bracket of £77,913.00 to £105,042.00 depending on experience.
