Our client has a requirement for a Clinical Psychologist to work within the Community Neuro Rehab Team.
Brief Description:
To provide psychological assessment, neuropsychological assessment and interventions to adults with neurological conditions including stroke, brain injury, and progressive neurological conditions including multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, Parkinson’s Disease etc.. Be able to work collaboratively within a team and with an MDT.
This post is 28 hours per week, ideally 4 weekdays at 7 hour shifts but there is flexibility.
The successful candidate will have at least doctoral level training in clinical/counselling psychology and substantial post qualification experience working psychotherapeutically with adults with long term health conditions. They will be skilled in at least two psychotherapeutic modalities. They will be able to work with people across the lifespan and manage emotive situations. Ideally the successful applicant will have experience with neurologically impaired people and of conducting cognitive assessments. The individual must be able to work collaboratively with other allied health professionals within a team and liaise with multiple outside agencies such as GP, social care, care agency staff etc.. Tertiary qualifications in the field of neuropsychology such as a masters or PGDip in neuropsychology and/or QICN would be most welcome.
