The Position
Full Time (10 PA's)
You will be joining a unique and innovative Acute Frailty Unit that is among the first in the country to operate an independent Rapid Assessment and Focused Treatment (Rafting) model outside an ED environment.
The post holder will drive forward developments, improving the quality of care delivered to patients with a focus on maximising peoples’ independence and supporting their return to their usual place of residence wherever possible. You will receive peer support from staff working across the frailty services and be fully supported by an integrated management team helping you to drive forward change. The successful post-holder would support the development and clinical transformation of our busy Care of Elderly faculty through the extremely busy frailty pathway. We have opportunities for individuals who are looking to develop their skills at a higher level relating to the complex range of cases seen through a large number of acutely unwell elderly patients.
This post will provide an excellent opportunity for educational development in General Medicine. There are both formal and informal teaching sessions provided; and all juniors are encouraged to participate in audit and clinical governance related projects. All staff will have a mentor for help and guidance. This post would provide a good platform for candidates wishing to seek approved training rotations, particularly in Specialist Medicine, Emergency Medicine and GP

MRCP or equivalent
Relevant previous geriatric or frailty experience
